SERVICES

Complete web design for businesses & nonprofits that are ready to grow.

A good-looking site is only one piece of it. Every project combines strategy, brand alignment, copywriting, SEO, and design. A great website brings in business, not just compliments.

Planning website content and strategy at a desk

One package, five parts working together.

Each piece below is real, distinct work — but none of it happens in isolation. The strategy session shapes the copy, the copy shapes the SEO, the SEO shapes how pages get structured.

01

Brand Alignment

The site looks like it belongs to you — not a template.

Why it matters: A site that doesn't feel consistent with the rest of the business undercuts trust before a visitor reads a word.

What I do: A strategy session sets the color palette, typography, and design direction based on what's already true about your business.

Why it's different: Not a full branding agency. Just enough foundation to make the site feel unmistakably like the business it belongs to.

  • Brand strategy session
  • Moodboard & creative direction
  • Color palette
  • Typography selection
  • Brand voice guidance
  • Audience-focused design
02

Website Design

Built around how a real visitor would move through it.

Why it matters: A good-looking site that's confusing to navigate doesn't convert.

What I do: Structure, flow, and calls to action get mapped before the build starts, so every page has a clear job. Subtle animations and micro-interactions get added where they add polish, not distraction.

Why it's different: Design and structure are planned together as one step, not decided page-by-page as the build happens.

  • Information architecture
  • Responsive design
  • User experience planning
  • Subtle animations & micro-interactions
  • Calls-to-action
  • Forms & integrations
  • Accessibility best practices
03

Copywriting

Written from a real conversation, not questionnaires.

Why it matters: Most web designers do not write the content. Often times clients are given questionnaires or worksheets to fill out to gather content. This proves to be quite time consuming for clients who already have a full time job!

What I do: Our strategy conversation becomes the copy directly — captured in your actual voice, then shaped for how people read a page and for search.

Why it's different: No worksheets to fill out. The copy comes from our conversations.

  • Strategy interview → copy
  • Voice refinement
  • Full website copywriting
  • Calls-to-action
04

SEO

Built in from the start.

Why it matters: A site that isn't structured for search doesn't get found, no matter how good it looks.

What I do: Keyword research and technical SEO get built into the site from the strategy session on, so search engines and AI search tools alike can read it.

Why it's different: SEO isn't a separate add-on — it's part of how every page gets written and structured.

  • Keyword research
  • Search intent research
  • Technical SEO
  • On-page optimization
  • Internal linking
  • Image optimization
05

Launch & Support

A careful launch, then real support after.

Why it matters: A site that goes live with loose ends is a liability, not an asset.

What I do: Final testing, domain connection, favicon and social share images, and analytics setup before launch — then 30 days of included support while the site settles in.

Why it's different: Support doesn't end the day the site goes live. Monthly maintenance plans are available if you want them.

  • Domain connection
  • Favicon & social share images
  • Analytics setup
  • Google Search Console
  • Final testing
  • 30 days of support
  • Maintenance plans available
[ The Process ]

How we get there.

A straightforward path from first conversation to finished site. You'll always know where we are, what's next, and what's needed from you.

01
Step 01

Discovery & Proposal

A free 30-minute conversation to understand your business, your goals, and what's not working with your current web presence. I come back with a clear picture of what you need: a recommended page structure, a project scope, and an estimate.

02
Step 02

Strategy Session

This is where I get into the weeds. During the 90 minute strategy session, I ask detailed questions about your clients, your process, how you talk about your work, and what makes you different. This is also where we lock in the sitemap, design direction, and SEO strategy, before anything gets built.

03
Step 03

Design & Build

I shape your copy from what we covered in the strategy session, design the site, and build it.

04
Step 04

Launch

Your site goes live, built for mobile and ready to be found.

05
Step 05

Support, if you want it

If you'd rather not manage the site yourself, a monthly support plan keeps it current — content updates, photo swaps, and SEO monitoring.

[ FAQ ]

Questions, answered.

The things most people ask before reaching out. If yours isn't here, ask me directly.

There's no fixed number. Page count is one part of the overall scope, not the price tag itself. A small service business might need five pages; a nonprofit serving multiple audiences might need ten. We figure out the right structure together during the strategy session, and the estimate reflects the actual scope, not a generic page-count formula.

A few things tend to push a project above the starting rate: more pages than a typical small-business site, added features like booking and scheduling tools or e-commerce, and heavier content needs — large amounts of copywriting, converting existing documents like newsletters into web pages, or extensive photo curation. You'll always see the full scope and price before any work begins, so there's no guessing.

If your brand is already locked in and your copy is written and SEO-ready, yes, I can just design the site. Bring your fonts, color palette, logo, and finished copy, and we'll start with a discovery call to talk through the build itself. Every build still includes basic technical SEO, regardless of who writes the copy: page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, clean URLs, site speed, mobile friendliness. Price and timeline depend on the site. We'll cover that on the call.

I work with service-based businesses and organizations that are ready for a professional online presence that matches the quality of their real-world work. This includes home builders and remodelers, design and architecture firms, professional services, health and wellness practices, musicians and artists, independent schools, and nonprofits — across New Hampshire, the US, and Canada.

You work directly with me. Most agencies hand off projects to junior designers or account managers once the contract is signed. At Open Tree Creative, the person you strategize with is the same person writing your copy and building your site.

No. Most projects stall because the business owner is overwhelmed by the homework of writing content. I handle the copywriting, interviewing you to capture your voice while making sure the text is structured to convert visitors and rank on Google.

Technical SEO is built into every project from day one. This includes keyword research, page structure, meta tags, schema, and Google Search Console setup. You start with a solid foundation ready to rank, with no surprise add-on fees.

Because I work with one client at a time, the process is efficient. Most projects move from the initial strategy session to launch-ready in 4 to 8 weeks, depending on complexity and how quickly feedback comes back. Larger or more complex projects, like nonprofit sites with multiple audiences, can run longer — that timeline is always set during the proposal stage.

I build on Squarespace because it offers the best balance of high-end design flexibility and easy management. Once your site is handed off, you won't need a developer just to change a photo or update a paragraph.

Yes. You own the domain, the hosting account, and all of the content. You're never locked into a proprietary system or a long-term contract just to keep your site live.

Every project includes a window of post-launch support for tweaks and questions. After that, I offer ongoing monthly support plans if you'd rather have me handle updates than manage the site yourself.
