I'm a Squarespace Circle member with 20+ years of experience in web and graphic design. I'm HubSpot certified in AEO Fundamentals and Digital Marketing, and I've completed W3Cx's Introduction to Web Accessibility training. Since founding Open Tree Creative in 2010, I've built websites for landscapers, home builders and remodelers, churches, ministries, nonprofits, photographers, musicians, public speakers, and other service-based businesses.
Every project starts with strategy, with SEO and AEO built in from the beginning. Full Build projects include copywriting and brand styling. If you already have both, the Foundation package builds around what you have. The goal is simple: a website that looks good, makes sense to the people you want to reach, and gives them a clear reason to take the next step.

Discovery & Strategy
Good websites start with good questions. We begin with a free 30-minute call to talk through your goals and see if we're a good fit. Once we're working together, a strategy session helps me understand your clients, what sets you apart, and how your site should be organized. Every decision after that builds on this foundation.
Design & Content
We settle on your brand direction first, so the design feels like you from the start. I build your site in Squarespace and write your copy alongside it, so the words and layout work together instead of being forced to fit. You see your home page early and give feedback before I build out the rest.
Review & Revisions
Once your site is built, I walk you through every page so you can see how it all comes together. You share your feedback, and I refine the design, layout, and copy based on your notes. The goal is a site that feels like yours and works for the people you serve.
Launch
Before your site goes live, I connect your domain, set up your SEO and analytics, and test everything across devices and browsers. Once it all checks out, we launch.
Support
Launch day isn't the end. You get 30 days of support and a personalized toolkit with a short course on updating your Squarespace site, so you can make changes with confidence. If you'd rather hand it off, a monthly support plan keeps your site current.

On Full Build projects, I write your site's copy. AI works like a writing assistant: it helps me get a first draft down, then I rewrite and edit every page myself. On-page SEO depends on real words on the page, and I make sure they're there, and that they sound like you.

Web design, graphic design, visual communications: logos, flyers, promotional materials, playbills, business cards. I'm a Squarespace Circle member with training in web accessibility, SEO, and answer engine optimization, and I bring all of it into every site I build.
