Hey. I'm Rachel. I help small business owners and organizations leave behind the site that no longer represents them, and build something they're actually proud to send people to.

I’ve been doing this since I was 13.
Back in the dial-up days, I was running a joke website, viewing source on other people's sites trying to figure out how they worked. That curiosity never went away.
Over the years I found a way to bring web design into whatever I was doing. I taught ballet and designed the studio's website. I worked as an admin assistant and redesigned the company's site. Wherever I was, I ended up being the person who handled the website.
I started Open Tree Creative in 2010. Since then I've worked with landscapers, builders, remodelers, churches, nonprofits, photographers, and public speakers. I've done both web design and graphic design along the way.
I really enjoy partnering with businesses who are doing genuinely great work, but whose websites don't show it. I really love delivering websites that my clients are super excited about and proud to share. Not only that, but I want each website to continue to perform well well after launch day.

20+ years in
Web design, graphic design, visual communications — logos, flyers, promotional materials, playbills, business cards. I know what works and why.
Squarespace only
I build exclusively in Squarespace because it gives clients a polished, professional site they can actually manage after launch.
When I’m not designing
I'm born-and-raised in New Hampshire with five kids, a love for Jesus, and a stack of books I'm always working through.
Faith shapes how I approach my work. I work with honesty, care, and a real investment in the people I serve.
The ocean
NH born and raised — Hampton Beach is a favorite summer destination.
Reading
Theology, mostly. Huge Lord of the Rings fan.
Language learning
I speak beginner Spanish and intermediate Arabic.
